Began as a Jewish sect in the eastern
Mediterranean and by the 4th century had
become the dominant religion within the
Roman Empire.
Centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of
Nazareth (Israel), the largest religion
in the world. Christians call the message of
Jesus the Gospel (Good News) and hence label
the writtten accounts of his ministry as gospels.
The central tenet of Christianity is the belief in
Jesus as the Son of God and the Messiah (Christ).
Christianity has played a prominent role in the
shaping of Western civilization at least since the
4th century.
Christianity regards the Bible, the authority and
collection of canonical books. Christians consider
the resurrection of Jesus to be the cornerstone of
their faith and the most important event in the
human history.
The Bible is organized into two (2) parts: the books
of the Old Testament primarily sourced from Jewish
Scriptures, the Tanakh and the 27 books of the New
Testament containing books originally written
primarily in Greek.
Christians believe salvation is a gift by means of
the grace of God. Trinity teaching refers to that
one God comprises of three distincts, the Father,
the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Representations: Cross (since the earliest times),
Chi-rho monogram, the Dove, Sacrificial Lamb,
the Vine and many others.
Festivals: The primary Christian festivals are Lent,
Easter and Christmas.

This however, is not the way it shall be among you. If one of you wants to be great, he must be the
servant of the rest (Matthew 20:26)

No one can be a slave of two masters, he will hate one and love the other; he will be loyal to one
and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money” (Matthew 6:24)
Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish
or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5)
Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you, for God will judge you in the same way you
judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others. (Matthew 7:1-2)
No pupil is greater than his teacher, but every pupil, when he has completed his training, will be like
his teacher. (Luke 6:40)
Be careful not to let yourselves become occupied with too much feasting and drinking and with the
worries of this life, or that day may suddenly catch you like a trap. (Luke 21:34)
But now I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, So that you may
become the sons of your Father in heaven. For He makes sun to shine on bad and good people
alike, and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil. (Matthew 5:44-45)
